Dr. Anton Birioukov-Brant

Anton is a settler Russian immigrant, living in Tyendinaga Mohawk Territory with his wife, Kiera. Anton possesses a PhD in Education from the University of Ottawa, with over 10 years of experience working in the education sector. Anton is experienced in online course design, implementation, and evaluation. He has taught as a sessional university instructor at the University of Ottawa in equity, anti-racism, curriculum design, and evaluation.


As a researcher, Anton is adept at using a wide variety of qualitative research methodologies, including focus groups, interviews, sharing circles, policy analysis. He is an effective facilitator who has carried out over 15 stakeholder consultations. Espousing humility, collaboration, and respect, Anton ensures all participants have a voice in the research process.
