Lori Taylor

Lori Taylor (she/her) is a Queer educator and administrator with over 25 years of experience in education who resides on Unceded Traditional Algonquin Territory. As an administrator, Lori has held both school and system roles and has worked as an Education Officer for the Ontario Ministry of Education.


Lori has a MPEd in Equity, Diversity and Social Justice and is a seasoned community consultant, workshop facilitator and presenter; having provided workshops for such diverse groups as the Girl Guides of Ontario and Nunavut, 4-H Canada and the Learning Partnership. She has worked with the Ontario Teachers’ Federation and the South African Democratic Teachers Union to create a video and Ontario curriculum resources examining the impact of HIV/AIDS in both the Canadian and South African contexts. Lori is a recipient of the Provincial OSSTF James A. Foster Human Rights Award and the Harmony Movement Mary A. Samuel Award Leadership in Education Award. Lori is passionate about bringing people and organizations together to create grassroots community driven change.
